Lincoln California is located in Southern Placer County. Lincoln was originally settled in the 1860 and was given the name Lincoln out of respect for Charles Lincoln Wilson who was one of the Directors for the California Central Pacific Railroad. Lincoln is the third most populated City in Placer County with nearly 44,000 residents. Although Lincoln has a rich history, most of it has been developed over the past 20 years. From 1995 to 2005 it was the fastest growing City in the entire Country. Most of the homes are located in newer neighborhoods built over the last 20 years, but there are plenty of older established neighborhoods with mature trees and a ton of charm. Lincoln has a mix of older neighborhoods, brand new homes, retirement communities, and luxury homes. The City has taken great care to plan parks and open spaces. The schools in the Western Placer Unified Schools District are the very desirable. The great location is very close to freeway access, Folsom Lake, the American River, the Sacramento River, and Sacramento. Within less than two hours you can be skiing in Tahoe or surfing on the coast. It is a great central location for just about any outdoor activity that you can imagine!

Lincoln was the fastest growing City in the Country for nearly a decade between 1995 and 2005. The building in Lincoln has ramped up again over the past few years and the City is continuing to develop and grow. Many new home builders are building great new neighborhoods. New home builders include Standard Pacific Homes, Pulte Homes, Meritage Homes, and JMC Homes. The new home builders in Lincoln are very environmentally conscious and often include many energy efficient improvements such as solar as a standard option. I have sold many new homes in Lincoln and have a working relationship with the local new home builders.   

Lincoln also has many wonderful established neighborhoods with Craftsman and Victorian homes from the early 1900s. Many of these homes are dated, but well taken care of which allows new owners the option to remodel to their standards. These older neighborhoods often have mature trees and wonderful parks.
